How We Handle Surplus Goods

Varner, which Dressmann is a part of, aims to ensure that no surplus goods are destroyed. Therefore, we have partnered with Fretex in Norway and Myrorna in Sweden.

“The agreement applies to all chains in all countries, and means that all surplus goods and defective items that do not meet our health, environmental, and safety requirements are donated to Fretex or Myrorna. Fretex exports most of these, which are then reused in other countries or transformed into new clothes or products. The income generated from this creates jobs both in Norway and abroad,” says Christiane Fagertun, Head of Varner's Sustainability Department.
